Context

Jordan camp projects required practical and repeatable ESHS tools covering project preparation, implementation monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Challenge

  • Different intervention types across camps required one coherent but adaptable ESHS approach
  • Site-level documentation and corrective-action workflows needed stronger standardization

Intervention

  • Facilitated status-quo review, standards gap analysis, and action planning with field teams
  • Introduced E&S/ESHS site risk assessment methodology and screening/categorization process
  • Supported ESO training on supervision, monitoring, and contractor ESMP review routines

Outcome

  • More structured ESHS risk identification and mitigation planning at site level
  • Improved readiness of Jordan teams to apply safeguards documentation and routines
  • Clearer links between findings, corrective actions, and follow-up reporting
